Ghana
Say hello to 25-year-old Selorm Tay from Ghana!
Selorm lives in Accra, Ghana’s capital city. A Marketing graduate, he aims to start his own chain of fitness centres across Ghana, utilising his entrepreneurial skills. Fitness is important to Selorm, who enjoys playing basketball, swimming and working out to stay trim.
A caring individual, he enjoys spending time with his family, and volunteers at the local orphanage, teaching literacy and basketball to the children.
Kenya
Representing Kenya is 20-year-old Kelvin Oduwor Owiti
Kevin is a Business Management student from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. With an athletic build, he loves to play all kinds of sports, from football to kickboxing, and he is a keen musician, particularly the drums. Aside from business, he is keen on modelling and hopes to make a name for himself internationally in the future.
His favourite music is gospel, and his favourite book is Ben Carson’s Think Big.
Nigeria
Flying Nigeria’s flag at the Mr World show is Micheal Amilo. He’s 27!
Michael loves fashion. A Medical Science graduate and ex-gym trainer, he has the brains and the brawn to do whatever he wants, and fashion is what he wants, aiming to learn about fashion design in the UK.
Swimming, working out and dance also interest Michael, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Hip Hop, RnB, and gospel are his favourite music genres.
South Africa
Last but not least is South Africa’s Armand Du Plessis who is also 27.
Armand hails from Johannesburg, where he is a Candidate Attorney. With two Law degrees, his ambition is to become an advocate, potentially for disenfranchised children. When relaxing, Armand loves to travel, revelling in new lands and new words, whilst giving him a chance to work on his photography.
His favourite artist is Josh Groban, and he particularly enjoys Italian and South African cuisine
